Red. That’s the take-away tip from style guru Mary Lou Andre of DressingWell.com.

And this is what she’s talking about:

Apparently, the one piece of your wardrobe that doesn’t make you look fat is a great place to add a splash of fun color, Mary Lou said.

She was in the Clark’s store in Wellesley yesterday to consult with folks about wardrobe choices, including Clark’s new line of bags... and if “eraser shoes” is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Clark’s,

WallabeeBoot.jpgyou’re in for a surprise: the company that sells exquisitely well-made shoes has been reinventing itself in the past few years, including with lines like Indigo (below) that your teen daughter wouldn’t turn her nose up at.

Why is it that the idea of comfortable, well-made shoes that actually look good hasn’t caught on everywhere? I mean, look at these --

And Clark’s has yet another good idea: put them all on sale through the end of July. Wow!

Another company has decided to follow suit in blending comfort and style. Look at this and tell me who makes them:

Yup, they’re Crocs. No joke. I can’t even look at their clown-like plastic clogs without gagging, but if they’re going to make nice shoes like these, I’m paying attention. This new line is called You by Crocs and promises a sole that conforms to the contours of your foot. Aaahh, the saleswomen of the world say thank you!
