One of my women’s groups met today for the month. This is the last time we’ll meet before summer. During this meeting, we have a birthday party and do a gift swap. It’s a lot of fun.
To help with the merriment, the leader of the group gave us a list of questions to answer. We’re not a shy group of women so instead of having us answer all 10 questions, the leader told us to pick 2 or 3. The first question was “If you could have another name, what would it be?” I like Renee so I just passed that one by. But my friend who was sitting next to me and knows me pretty well looked at me and asked what name I would choose. My name came to me and I just laughed.
I wouldn’t say I’m high maintenance, but I do like my bling and pink. And though I’m one of the nicest people you’ll meet, piss me off and you’ll see my dad’s short fuse and nasty temper coming through me. Plus in general, to quote Christian Siriano, I’m pretty fierce.
So, what name did I pick? Cha-Cha Ferrocia. (No relation to Ferocia Cotura, Siriano’s altar ego.)
My friend said I’m definitely a Cha-Cha. But, if I’m a Cha-Cha, she’s a Zsa Zsa. She likes rodeo so I said she’s Zsa Zsa Deltoro. Later she wove a tale of her wannabe hippie friends and I hyphenated her- Zsa Zsa Deltoro-Boheme.
Oh, and in the gift swap, I got 4 plastic wine glasses which are perfect for Zsa Zsa and I to sit on the patio enjoying a bottle this summer.
It begs the question, if YOU could have another name, what would it be?
Enjoy!

So many names to choose from. I think I'd go for something fancy like Antoinette.

I'm not sure, but I do know I wouldn't keep Jennifer. I have one of the most common female names in the U.S., especially belonging to women born in the 70s.
I think I'd go for something a little more exotic.. Mia maybe? Or what about Isabella?
It's no Cha Cha though, maybe I need to go back to the drawing board.
Stylishly yours,

I'm going with "Dagney Badass." Dagney being a character from "Atlas Shrugged". This book changed the way I felt as a woman, and made it possible for me to accept that I am strong, intelligent, sarcastic, determined, sometimes obnoxious, but magnificent human being. That's my real last name. :) Kidding, kidding. It fits me.
