Everyone has a fetish. For some it’s chocolate (skirt! Charleston) or a Starbucks latte, for others, it’s the latest iProduct or expanding a collection of Tory Burch flats.
For me, my chocolate is Anthropologie.
Even though majority of the items in the store can be over my budget, I'm always willing to splurge on something fabulous at least once a month (the pink blouse was my November pick, and a few more I am eyeing). It’s a treat for me. The store in itself is such an experience. I honestly can spend hours there wondering around, filling my head with ideas for home décor projects and keeping tabs on when certain items will hit the sale room.

I remember the first time I stepped foot in the store. I was in NYC on an art trip during college and we were wondering around the city. Some friends and I ventured to Soho, because I had heard about a few great shops to visit there. We wondered into Anthropologie and I left with feeling refreshed and inspired (this happens frequently when I encounter something artsy).
Through another blog I read, I was linked to Open House, a new feature on Anthropologie’s site. I’m always drawn to shades of green, yellow, and blue along with vintage pieces of furniture and whimsical knick-knacks. The fabric choices make me want to drape entire walls with pattern. Since I am in the process of picking paint colors for my new rental, this site is perfect inspiration for such choices.

of Anthropologie. I was in NYC a couple of years ago with a friend in Rockefeller Center and stumbled upon the largest Anthropologie store I'd ever seen. Being over 30, I hate to admit that I actually squealed (actually, we both did and now you probably know who that friend is). And then we decided that we wanted to move into the store and stay there forever and ever. Alas, they don't even let you spend the night.
