Hello friends! I am originally from a small town in Massachusetts and have been living in CT for over a year with my fiancé. A bit about me: I am a spirited and sassy 27 year old recently engaged vegetarian part time grad student dog loving aspiring writer who enjoys “good talks” and people...

For someone who can’t stand math, I gravitate towards dates and numbers. My excitement stems from what these dates and numbers mean – life changing moments and spiritual connections.

Take the number nine. According to author Judith Millidge who wrote The Handbook of Dreams, nine means: “the last single-digit number and is thus associated with endings. Pregnancy lasts nine months, so it may be an indication of creativity or exciting projects.”

I’ve also read it’s a symbolism for completion.

Nine follows me around and has since childhood, especially with home addresses. Seven is also a big one. I was born February 7 and moved to Florida on June 7, 2004. My first date with Randy was June 17th 2004. I moved to CT and started a new job on July 9, 2007. We were planning on moving to Canada after Randy got a job offer (but we turned it down, surprise) and he proposed on July 1, 2008. It was Canada Day, how ironic.

Have you ever thought about any extraordinary events and how if someone were to ask you where you were, who you were with, or what you were wearing, would you be brought back? It’s like thinking about a lemon and feeling the sour inside your mouth.

Last Thanksgiving I had started a “good talk” about how so many families across the United States were enjoying Thanksgiving together – all at once. It’s incredible to think about how connected we all are.

My fiancé and I have tossed this idea around and he started a website over the weekend.

Check it out. What’s your moment?

My 8:05pm moment:

The grass was warm beneath my feet. We walked hand in hand through dirt and gravel to get to the other side to get a view of the lake. It was almost 8 o’clock on Tuesday, July 1, 2008. He led me to a picnic bench by the shade. He started talking to me about his home and how great of a place it was. We stood side by side to watch the sunset. He told me how this was where he played his first football game and caught his first fish with his dad. “Do you want to know what else is so great about this place?” he asked. In that moment, time stood still as the colors in the sky exploded and changed. He turned to me and got down on one knee and presented a beautiful ring. With tears in his eyes spoke softly, “This is where I ask you to be my wife. Will you marry me?”

I said yes.

Tissues, please. That is so not fair to catch a girl (me) unaware. "Trust Life's unfolding..."

I catch the clock at that time several times per week. That particular time has a Web presence (http://www.phenomenon1111.com/) that I find interesting as a Reiki Master, especially since I didn't start noticing that time until after I was attuned. But, that's a whole other story (though it relates to one of my recent posts; I'm also much more sound sensitive since being attuned).

I connected with your post in another way, though. I am not a math person at all but I crunch numbers all of the time. I've read enough about numerology to be curious, but it's more than adding up dates. On long trips, I guess out of boredom, I'll calculate how much longer we'll be on the road at our current speed. At the gym I'll calculate what percentage of my workout I've completed.

It's boring, really, but probably good brain exercise.

Interesting post. You've got me thinking this morning... at 8:40, which is 12 and 1 + 2 is 3 which is the number of creativity and self expression. Booya.

Sorry Cheryl, I didn't mean to bring on any tears, although they are happy tears! And Rhi, not boring at all. I always feel like certain times in the day or year offer something special. I had a feeling something good would happen at 11am on a Friday and my fiance got a call from one of the radio stations he works at asking him to pick up more shifts. I can so see you number crunching and I am right there with you! That is so cool that you are a Reiki Master! I love all things healing. Booya right back at ya sistah.
