Breast milk ice cream?

I knew that title would get your attention...and that’s exactly what PETA has proposed to ice cream favorite Ben & Jerry’s – ice cream made with breast milk.

(I am not joking about this!)

As a woman who does not have children, I may have a more...squeamish...response to the concept of ice cream a la boob, but I can’t imagine how that would even WORK in the first place. How do they find currently lactating women who want to donate their milk? (I am wondering if there are some PETA members who would volunteer...) How do they get the amount of milk they’d need to even make one gallon of ice cream?

Why would PETA even propose such nonsense?

Please, to the moms out there...am I crazy for thinking this is crazy?

OMG I heard about this too and it was gonna be my blog today but it seems you got it covered. It is for sure crazy crazy. I just do not feel comfortable with that and...it just doesn't make and sense. at all.

I laughed my face off when I read the news earlier today. And while I am definitely FOR the most ethical treatment of the animals that give us nourishment and sweet treats, I am AGAINST the bizarre fanaticism of PETA. Freaky. Mmmmmm, ice cream made with people-milk. Mmmmm. Would go could with a couple of Sweet Nut Cups (See SarahtheQueen's blog for reference.)
