Women on a Mission

Everyone’s talked about the lack of South Carolina women in office. Wednesday night, it was invigorating to see so many women ready to do something about it.

I, for one, appreciate the work of the Southeastern Institute for Women In Politics, the League of Women Voters, and the Alliance for Women--the three groups that put this event together.

Highlight of the evening for me:  catching up with so many great women we’ve featured in skirt! over the last two years.  

Biggest question mark for women:  can we stop talking among ourselves long enough to let some other woman speak? 

Sorry featured speakers, I too was guilty of gabbing with my friends (softly though, I swear) while you were on the podium.
