West Texas or bust

Friday, September, 12, 2008

Grab your cowgirl hats, we’re going to Lubbock!  Literally.

Sunday a.m. in the wee, wee hours the skirt.com staff will be heading to West Texas.  Nik and Angelia are only a tiny bit peeved at me due to the hour of departure, size of plane and the impending hurricane (hopefully tropical storm by then) Mr. Ike.  It’s kind  of like a line from a bad country song...

“Through the wind and the rain, on a small jet plane, at 3:00 a.m. in the morning...”

You may wondering why a bunch of skirt! geeks are headed to the Lone Star State.  Well, we’re working to expand the skirt! nation digitally.  Over the next few months you are going to see a lot of work in progress, some road construction and some speed bumps.  In the end there will be more skirt! markets, better tools on the site that you can use and whole lot more fun.

In the meantime, feel free to follow our trip on twitter.  http://twitter.com/skirtmuse

We’re really excited.  Lubbock is the home of Buddy Holly, the Dixie Chicks, Texas Tech, the Art Walk, great bbq and some really amazing women that can’t wait to have their own skirt!Lubbock. We’ll be documenting our visit collectively and give you the inside scoop on whether  any of our ex’s are in Texas or if 10 gallon hats really hold 6 and if Angelia finally conquers her fear of rodeo clowns.

Stay tuned!
