Two updates connected to women you’ve read about in skirt!--one involves an opportunity for students, another brings a fresh idea for helping people with Parkinson’s disease.

Heidi Johnson, director of Keep the Midlands Beautiful, emails that they’re recruiting high school students from Richland and Lexington Counties to join an advisory board.
Members will do more than attend meetings. They’ll help organize school and community events. If you know a student who might be interested, get the details here.
Meanwhile, Erin Bolshakov joined renowned Argentine dancer Orlando Farias on the floor for the
Tango for Therapy gala in Lexington last week.
Erin, you might remember, is a Columbia native and professional ballet dancer who came home to open Vista Ballroom.
Tango for Therapy uses dance as therapy to help people with Parkinson’s. Learn more about that program here--and see photos from the gala in our photogallery, here.
