I'm Muse of the Month! I'm Muse of the Month!

Hi!  I’m Renee!  If you don’t know me already, come along on a month of merriment and adventure!  It’s bound to be a party.

I’ve got stuff in my head to write so take a drink (the hot waiters in small uniforms will be circling the room with champagne, margaritas, and bottled water) and give your dance requests to the deejay!  I’ve been told it’s not a party ‘til I’m there. Pshaw Trish, but I’ll take the compliment.

My “thing” is simply taking everyday things and putting a floodlight on them.  I’ve got a lot to choose from but the one I’ve waited ‘til today for is our role as women, as defined by men.

Anyone have any ideas what that is?  We are the ones who make things happen.  I can illustrate it with a picture drawn in my very own bedroom between last night and this evening.  My husband was taking our son to meet a friend and his kid to go hiking today.  Well, friend called at 10:30 last night to say that his son is sick so no hiking. We had skipped out on going to visit friends yesterday so I said maybe we could do that today.  As we went to bed, we were in general agreement that’s what we would do.  I got up with my daughter and our new puppy at 6:30 and went back to bed at 7:30. When I woke back up, hubby was over me asking “so are we going over there today?”  WHAT?!?  When did he plan on me calling?  When I was out with the dogs?  Making breakfast for the kids? Sleeping?  Oh, that minute between being awake and him asking me!  Gotcha! 

NO!  Dude! Hi! Good morning.  How’d you sleep?  And, it’s not like this is my friend only. My husband hired and worked with my friend’s husband. So they talk, they get along.  *rolling eyes* 

As it stands now, he’s laying in bed asleep (it’s 11:41 AM) and I haven’t seen him making any phone calls.  My guessumption is that we’re not going.  But, what he doesn’t know is that I just got an invite to swim at the lake with my bff and her kids at 3:30. I’m gonna keep that rabbit in my hat for awhile.
